A belt lining is a material on the inside of the belt that forms a protective layer between the fabric of the pants or skirt the belt is worn with. Usually made of thin leather or fabric, these linings prevent the belt’s hard metal or plastic buckle from damaging the skin. It is also used to prevent damage to the fabric with which the belt is in direct contact and to prolong the life of the garment. Belt linings are usually designed in colors or patterns that match the belt and are invisibly located on the inside of the garment. They provide both comfort and protection, giving the wearer a comfortable experience.
